Terms & Conditions

By booking with Erin’s Floral Preservations, you acknowledge and agree to the following terms and conditions. These policies are in place to ensure clear communication, protect the integrity of the preservation process, and provide the best possible experience for both artist and client.

Booking & Deposits

Due to my full-time career and family commitments, I accept a limited number of preservation bookings each month.

A $100 non-refundable deposit is required to reserve your wedding date. This deposit secures your spot on my calendar and is applied toward your total preservation cost. Booking is not confirmed until the deposit has been received.

Wedding dates often book months in advance. Availability is offered on a first-come, first-serve basis.

Payment Terms

The remaining balance is due after your preservation is complete and prior to pickup or shipping. Final images will be provided before payment is requested.

Reserved pieces will not be released until full payment has been received.

Flower Delivery Requirements

Client agrees to deliver their flowers to the studio within 1-2 days following the event.

  • Local clients: Drop-off or meet up will be arranged.

  • Non-local clients: Overnight shipping is required.

Detailed directions to my studio or detailed shipping instructions will be provided after booking. The condition of the flowers upon arrival directly impacts preservation quality.

Artistic Process & Natural Variations

Floral preservation is a form of fine art using real, organic materials. Because of this:

  • Natural color changes, texture shifts, and variations are expected.

  • No two preserved pieces will ever be identical.

  • Perfection cannot be guaranteed.

Timeline Expectations

Most wedding bouquet preservations take 6 months to one year to complete. Timelines vary based on preservation style, flower types, order size, and current studio workload.

Rushing the process compromises quality and expedited or guaranteed turnaround times are not offered.

Design Approval & Artistic Discretion

Design preferences and layouts will be discussed and approved by the client prior to preservation.

While client input is valued, Erin’s Floral Preservations retains final artistic discretion to ensure structural integrity, longevity, and overall aesthetic quality of the finished piece.

Flower Substitution

Not all flowers preserve equally. Some blooms may be too fragile, damaged, or deteriorated to use.

If necessary, we can discuss using substitution flowers.

Every effort is made to honor the original bouquet’s design and sentiment.

Resin Care Instructions
Resin pieces must be handled and displayed with care:

  • Do not display resin items in direct sunlight or near strong UV exposure, as this can cause yellowing or fading over time.

  • Avoid high heat, including placement near windows, heaters, fireplaces, or inside vehicles.

  • Clean gently using a soft, dry or slightly damp microfiber cloth. Do not use chemicals, alcohol, or abrasive cleaners.

Pressed Floral Care Instructions
Pressed floral pieces are delicate and sensitive to environmental conditions:

  • Keep pressed flowers away from moisture, humidity, and condensation, as exposure can cause warping, mold, or deterioration.

  • Do not display in bathrooms, kitchens, or other high-humidity areas.

  • Avoid direct sunlight to reduce fading.

  • Handle minimally and keep framed pieces sealed when possible.

Resin & Pressed Floral Care

Flowers are organic materials and will naturally change over time. Despite professional preservation methods, some fading, darkening, or tonal shifts may occur. While I make every effort to preserve the beauty of your flowers, exact long-term color retention cannot be guaranteed.
Select flowers may be color corrected to enhance or restore their appearance prior to preservation. However, not all flowers are suitable for color correction, and results may vary. Color correction may help slow visible fading but does not prevent natural aging or color change over time.

Fading Prevention Recommendations
To help limit fading and extend the life of your preserved florals:

  • Display all pieces indoors, away from direct sunlight and harsh artificial lighting.

  • Maintain a stable, dry environment with moderate temperature and humidity.

  • Avoid frequent handling or repositioning.

Liability & Acknowledgment
Due to the natural and organic nature of flowers and the handmade preservation process, variations are expected and do not constitute defects. By purchasing, you acknowledge that long-term changes are normal and not grounds for refunds or replacements.

Proper care significantly extends the beauty and longevity of your preserved florals.

Cancellations &Rescheduling

The $100 booking deposit is non-refundable.

If the client cancels their event or no longer wishes to proceed with preservation, the deposit remains non-refundable due to time and scheduling commitments.

In the case of an emergency, rescheduling may be considered based on availability.

Shipping & Damage Disclaimer

If you choose to ship your fresh flowers to the studio, detailed packing and shipping tips will be provided. Clients are fully responsible for properly packaging their florals and for all shipping costs associated with sending fresh flowers to Erin’s Floral Preservations. We are not responsible for delays, damage, or loss that may occur during transit to the studio.

If you choose to have your completed preservation shipped back to you, return shipping costs are the responsibility of the client and must be paid in full prior to shipment.

Erin’s Floral Preservations reserves the right to photograph and share images of finished preservations for portfolio, website, and social media use.
If you prefer your piece not to be shared publicly, please notify me in writing prior to completion.
